These four programs are for either employees or people living in poverty to receive money towards books (lire), entertainment technology like DVDs (disque), live shows from opera to jazz festivals (scènes) and museums and the such (culture). Amazing social welfare!

When I was pregnant with Conor I remember talking with my French family and they were shocked that we don’t have the maternity paid leave that they have in France – I’m curious if it’s still the same. Then it was last two or three months before birth paid, and one year paid after birth, for mom.
