In the UK, Dennis the Menace is not only a brunette, but is incredibly diabolical. His sidekick is Gnasher the dog and he may be homophobic, as the main recurring storyline throughout the years features his campaign of terror against a gang of ‘softies’ (effeminate, well-behaved boys). 

The U.K. Dennis is the featured star of Beano comics, and is not related to or a precursor for the US blonde Dennis.
